the truest warning

attend the voices that have ruled the air
there's much to learn and so much to do
you'll act with rapid gait or else you'll rue
the world's a better place for those who dare
we see the rules and know they are not fair
but there's so much to see that's fresh and new
let cowards wait for consequence to ensue
and others bear the weight of woe and care
the map tells us enough about each place
to keep us dreaming and to keep us sane
journeys begin within each hopeful mind
the light must fall anew upon each face
the answers come unbidden to the brain
and joy and glory be the things you find
