Steyn Report

Back in the early 1990s, when South Africa was, finally, democratising, there was talk of a mysterious 'Third Force' (i.e., neither the government nor the ANC) that was seeking to destabilise the process. It turns out that there was such a force, and it sought to do precisely that. One of the interesting elements of the Steyn Report, which has just been made public is that the Pan-Africanist Congress was used by rogue elements of the security forces as a tool to challenge the process of democratisation.
