That the death penalty involves cruelty is becoming clearer to the public -- except, I suspect, to the people who cannot tell the difference between justice and revenge -- every day. In this case, when the person to be executed is saying 'It don't work' and loudly moaning, simple humanity should have called a halt. Apparently, it didn't.
