War without end, amen

More Americans die in Iraq. For what reason? What good has the war done? What good can it do? Does it make us any safer? There haven't been any noticeable terrorist attacks on the US since 2001 (and what about the anthrax letters?), but Madrid in 2004 and London last July have been hit by terrorists carrying their own bombs. Perhaps, in the eyes of Americans, Brits and Spaniards are inferior beings; that doesn't mean that terrorist attacks can't occur here. Not all terrorists, after all, are Muslims. Meanwhile, the number of Iraqi civilians dying continues to rise.
