willingly we march away
knowing neither joy nor care
this is our triumphal day
ending of our dismal fear
interest we do not have
in the reasons for this war
we are ordered to be brave
and we do all that and more
though it does not do us good
to kill the heathen mussulmen
we would have it understood
we will do it all again
victory is just a word
for another war to fight
do not say that it's absurd
to be so hampered by our might
say instead that what we do
are deeds not to be forgot
saying so will make it true
and words will do what deeds will not
so we march along the way
where so many have before
this is our triumphal day
there will not be many more
Odd ravings, comments, and other wastes of time. Some are in plain prose, yet others are in rhyme.
