Memory erasure

Now it is possible to take a pill to erase bad memories. As a treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, it no doubt has its benefits. Yet the concept worries me. It isn't simply that such a drug would be 'mind altering' in a sense that is radically different from, say, LSD, but that the power to abuse such a drug is, quite simply, frightening.
