a simple law would make us all the same
that's not the way that things should be arranged
from other meanings we are now estranged
and the whole valley has been set aflame
a show of courage turns at once to shame
we knew at once that we had been shortchanged
but you could not find the coins we had ranged
in front of us as tokens in the game
a finer day we hoped for could not come
so that's the price of all the screams and cries
all of the singers end up telling tales
but do not want to pay for the last crumb
and so despise us for the needed lies
that we can weep as every story fails
Odd ravings, comments, and other wastes of time. Some are in plain prose, yet others are in rhyme.
