to learn another thing would mean much work
so we decline and blame it on our foes
no open doors it is our aim to close
all gates of hope and leave to the berserk
those chances which the wisest would not shirk
no one now thinks of what might be repose
since all the best intentions end in blows
and no man in the shadows wants to lurk
time to recall but no time to reclaim
what once was thought and now is left to sleep
until the world turns back to sense again
for now we have the memory of flame
enough to stop us turning into sheep
and hope enough that soon will come new rain
Odd ravings, comments, and other wastes of time. Some are in plain prose, yet others are in rhyme.

to learn another thing
