the serpent that within the cave is curled
has patience and is quite content to lie
quiet while the still-revolving world
forgets about its presence by and by
the voice that quietly announces in our heads
that all is safe that all is now secure
will lead us all to safety in our beds
while in its cavern the snake forms new allure
forgotten all the lessons we have heard
about the dangers of the serpent war
we rise and become angered with a word
and all becomes as it once was before
the leader speaks in words that soar and fly
and thousands die for his outrageous lie
Odd ravings, comments, and other wastes of time. Some are in plain prose, yet others are in rhyme.
