Horowitz not khorosho

Gisela Schon, like myself a friend of Andrew Mathis, has an excellent take on David Horowitz's latest campaign to save students from professors who, horribile dictu, don't share his worldview. Every few years we get this 'save our precious children from dangerous leftist professors', even though there's no evidence that students are being brainwashed to become agents of the evil leftist conspiracy to make everyone behave nicely to everyone else.

We might call this the right's academic equivalent of gay panic -- the belief that the children of conservative parents, after 18 years of imbibing their parents worldviews, such as they are, will be turned into robots mouthing the latest horrible doctrine of political correctness such as 'blacks are people too' or 'maybe we should hear the Palestinian side of the story'.
