Cartoons make people nuts

Iran's faqih has weighed in on the 'cartoon crisis', proclaiming the original cartoons part of a 'Zionist plot'. I'm not sure how this works, or how Islam is going to be destroyed by caricatures, but apparently people can be driven out of their minds by cartoons.

It would be funny except for this:

A bestselling Iranian newspaper, Hamshari, announced it was retaliating by holding a competition to find the best images satirising the Holocaust. The move mirrors the exercise of the Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten, whose publication of 12 images of Muhammad in September sparked the row.
